Volunteers

Would you like to support your favorite runner, walker, or the NRC? Come out on race day and volunteer with us! Great volunteers are critical to a successful event! If you are a member of a corporate group or organization and would like to be responsible for one of the water stops or any other volunteer slots, we’d love to have you! Below is important information for volunteers. You will receive this information in your volunteer packet. Pick up your volunteer packet on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 8:15am when you check in. Thank you for your support. We love our volunteers!

Remember!

  • Safety first - bring your cell phone and know who to call for first aid (in volunteer packet)
  • Engage the runners - point the way and clearly direct the runners (and walkers, too). Make eye contact and make sure they know which direction they need to go. Cheer them on!
  • Help promote the NRC - After the race, tell people how you got involved with the NRC and why it’s special to you.  Show folks around and tell them about what we do.

Race Day Schedule

Saturday, October 16
7:30 am – Parking volunteers, cone and water stop volunteers arrive and check in
8:15-8:30 am – All other volunteers check in at NRC front desk
9:00 am – Volunteers go to their assigned stations along the course
9:20 am – Race formation at starting line
9:30 am – Race starts
10:10 am – Approximate time that first runners will finish
10:10am – 11am – Cheer at the finish line!
11:00 am – Awards ceremony / Finish Line Party & Alternative Health Fair
11:30 am – Volunteers provide tours to participants as needed
11:30 am – Volunteers pick up cones, table, water coolers, signs along course
12:00 pm – Party finishes; clean up NRC
